    The short version: We collect the minimum data needed to make Nett work. We never sell your individual data. Your portfolio and financial data belong to you.
  

1. Who We Are

Nett is a personal finance and trading card tracking app. This policy covers the Nett mobile app and nett.finance website. Nett is operated by its sole developer ("we", "us").

2. What We Collect

Account Data

When you sign in via Google or email (Firebase Authentication), we store your email address and display name to manage your account and sync your data.

Portfolio & Collection Data

Cards, financial assets, debts, and other items you add to your portfolio are stored in Firebase Firestore. This data is yours — we store it to provide the Service.

Scan Data

When you scan a card, the camera image is processed for identification and is not permanently stored on our servers. Scan metadata (game, set, rarity) is logged anonymously via Firebase Analytics to help us improve scanner accuracy and understand which card types are most used.

Usage Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data including:

Scan events: which game, set, and rarity categories are scanned most
eBay click-throughs: which price ranges and card categories drive the most interest
Feature usage: which app sections and tools are used
App performance: crash reports and load times

This data is anonymised and cannot be linked back to your personal portfolio.

Device Data

Standard device information (device model, OS version, app version) is collected by Firebase for crash reporting and compatibility.

3. How We Use Your Data

Provide the Service: store your portfolio, sync across devices (Pro), identify scanned cards, display prices.
Improve accuracy: anonymous scan analytics help us prioritise which card sets and games to improve.
Aggregate insights: we may compile anonymised, aggregate statistics about card market trends and user behaviour (e.g. "most-added cards this month", "most-scanned sets", "fastest-growing card categories"). These insights are derived from collective usage patterns — including scan activity, collection additions, and portfolio composition — and never identify individual users or their specific holdings. Your individual data remains yours; aggregate statistics are derived from patterns across all users combined.
Communicate: send service updates or respond to support requests.

4. Data Storage & Backup

Free Users

Your portfolio data is stored locally on your device and backed up daily to Firebase Firestore. This backup is silent and automatic — your data is protected even if you lose your device. Free accounts are limited to a single device.

Pro Users

Pro subscribers get real-time multi-device sync via Firebase Firestore. Your data is available instantly across all signed-in devices.

Encryption

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (Firebase's default encryption). Card images sent for scanning are transmitted over encrypted connections and are not stored after processing.

5. What We Never Do

    We never sell your individual data to third parties.
We never share your specific portfolio or collection with anyone.
We never use your personal data for targeted advertising.
We never store your card photos after scanning.

  

6. Third-Party Services

Nett integrates with the following third-party services:

Firebase (Google): Authentication, Firestore database, Analytics, Crashlytics. Firebase Privacy.
Cloudflare Workers: API proxy for card pricing and scanner backend. Processes requests but does not store personal data.
TCGPlayer / TCGCSV: Card pricing data source. No personal data is shared — only card identifiers for price lookup.
PriceCharting: Graded card pricing. Same — card identifiers only, no personal data.
eBay Partner Network: Affiliate links. When you click through to eBay, eBay may set cookies per their own privacy policy. Nett shares no personal data with eBay.
Voyage AI: Visual card matching (embedding generation). Card photos are sent for processing and are not retained by Voyage after generating the embedding.
Google AdMob: Ads shown to free users. AdMob collects device identifiers for ad personalisation per Google's ad policies. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings.

7. Your Rights

You can:

Export your full portfolio data at any time (CSV export is free for all users).
Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us through the app. We will delete your data within 30 days.
Access a copy of your stored data by contacting us.
Opt out of analytics by disabling Firebase Analytics in your device settings.

8. Data Retention

Account and portfolio data is retained as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymous aggregate analytics are retained indefinitely as they cannot be linked to individuals.

9. Children's Privacy

Nett is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
